The Equal Opportunity Cell at Deva Matha College, Kuravilangad, is dedicated to promoting equity, dignity, and justice for all, especially students and staff from disadvantaged and marginalized groups. This includes individuals from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), religious minorities, women, and persons with disabilities. The Cell works to ensure that no one is denied access or opportunity due to social, economic, or cultural background. It actively addresses complaints of discrimination, harassment, or unequal treatment, and ensures prompt and fair resolution. Support services such as counseling, guidance, and legal aid referrals are provided when needed. The EOC also reviews institutional practices and policies to remove systemic barriers and foster an inclusive environment. By upholding these values, the Cell helps create a campus culture where every individual—regardless of identity or circumstance—can participate fully, grow academically and personally, and feel respected and empowered.
