The PG Department of Botany started functioning in the year 2004 since then is very much guided by the goals and principles of Prof. George Mathew Murikcan, former Head Department of Botany of this institution.Dr. M.C. Varghese, the former coordinator of the department done his best to maintain and provide quality education and is now a competent department among the other regular departments and self financing departments of the same kind under M.G. University, Kottayam, Kerala.Presently, the department is functioning under the directorship of Rev.Fr. Joyal Jacob Pandarapparambil. Presently Mrs. Sujamol Abraham is the HOD. Department has 5 teaching staff 1 non-teaching staff.
