Vriksha Raksha Bandhan

22-08-2021

Greetings from MGNCRE,  Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Around the world, the trend is to inter alia adopt cycling for local transport, water
harvesting, biodiversity and solar energy to make campuses eco-friendly, green and
self-sustainable. India too is in the race. We have a lot to do. Now!

To inculcate the importance of protecting trees to the youth, on 22/08/2021, we request your esteemed institute to join hands with us to make the national movement of Vriksha Raksha Bandhan a grand success.

Include the surrounding community,  family members of the staff and students in this mission.

On this auspicious day we should prepare an appropriate length Rakhi and tie the same to a tree.
We can hug the tree.
We can prepare and display posters that spread the message of protecting trees.

Record the event, circulate in and around your neighbourhood and also on social media.
Please do share with us the videos/photos of this event.
#mgncre

You can do it in your home,  campus etc.

Warm regards
Dr.  Dipu Varghese
